Travelers Life and Annuity, a subsidiary of Travelers Group has chosen IONA's OrbixWeb as the basis for their middleware infrastructure for integrating services such as customer service and Internet transactions. OrbixWeb, a leading Java-based CORBA and IIOP implementation, was chosen as a result of Travelers' past experience and success with IONA's Orbix.
